Health Examination
Every puppy receives a thorough examination by our licensed veterinarian before going home, with complete written records.
Current Vaccinations
Your puppy leaves up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations with detailed records for your local vet.
Deworming Protocol
Puppies are routinely dewormed according to standard protocol beginning in the first weeks of life.
Microchip Identification
Every puppy is microchipped before going home for permanent identification that cannot be lost or removed.
Starter Food Bag
We send a bag of the food your puppy has been eating in our nursery. This is important because switching food suddenly causes digestive upset in puppies, and the last thing you want during the adjustment to a new home is a stomach problem on top of everything else that is new. Use the starter bag to transition gradually over the course of one to two weeks if you plan to feed a different food, mixing the current food with the new food in increasing proportions until the switch is complete.
Complete Health Records and Documentation
Complete health records accompany every puppy, including the veterinary exam, vaccination history, deworming log, and microchip information. For families who request it, we also provide documentation of the parent dogs’ OFA certifications and genetic DNA testing results. We believe full transparency is the standard every breeder should hold themselves to, and we are always happy to walk families through what the testing means and what it tells us about their puppy’s genetic foundation.
Two-Year Health Guarantee
Every Havana Luxe Pups puppy is backed by our two-year health guarantee covering genetic defects. This guarantee is written in plain language, means exactly what it says, and is backed by people who stand behind their work completely. We cover what we say we cover, and if something comes up that falls within the terms of the guarantee, you contact us directly and we work through it together.

30-Day Trupanion Insurance Trial
We require pet insurance for all of our families, and we make it easy to get started. Every puppy comes with access to a complimentary 30-day Trupanion insurance trial, which activates at the time of pickup and provides coverage during those first critical weeks at home.
The Trupanion trial requires no credit card to activate and carries no obligation to continue. Details on how to activate the trial are included in your puppy’s welcome packet.
Care Guidance and Ongoing Support
Your puppy’s welcome packet includes written care guidance covering feeding, grooming, training basics, and early health considerations. We put real thought into this material because we want your first weeks at home to go as smoothly as possible.
