Our Pricing: The Real Value of a Well-Bred Puppy
We price our puppies fairly for what they represent, and we want every family to understand exactly what that means. The price of a Havana Luxe Pups puppy is not just for the puppy. It is for the years of investment that went into producing them, the testing and care that happened before they were born, and the relationship and support that continue long after they go home.
This page is not about convincing you that we are the right choice. The work we do speaks for itself. But we do want to give you the context to evaluate any puppy source clearly, because the price of a puppy and the cost of a puppy are two very different things.
What Our Pricing Reflects
Every Havana Luxe Pups puppy is the result of a thoughtful, expensive, and time-intensive process that begins long before a litter is born. Here is what goes into that price.
Our parent dogs undergo full OFA certification for hips, patellas, eyes, and hearing, and comprehensive genetic DNA testing through Embark or equivalent screening. These tests cost several hundred dollars per dog and are repeated on an ongoing basis. We do not breed a dog who has not cleared the full testing protocol, regardless of how beautiful they are or how much a family might want a puppy from them.

Comparing Costs: Breeder vs. Broker
You will find puppies marketed as Havanese or Havapoos across a wide range of prices and sources. Brokers sometimes list puppies at prices comparable to or exceeding what a responsible direct breeder charges, and they often pair those prices with long warranty language that sounds impressive.
What you do not see in a broker’s listing is the cost structure behind the puppy. Broker puppies often come from volume producers where health testing may be limited or absent, socialization is minimal, and the puppy’s early weeks were spent in a commercial environment rather than a family home. A portion of your purchase price is the broker’s margin, which means the puppy’s source received less per puppy than you paid, and that directly affects the investment made in that puppy’s early life.
Long-Term Value
A well-bred puppy from a direct breeder who does the testing, the socialization, and the health care will almost always cost less over a lifetime than a puppy from an untested source. Fewer inherited health problems mean lower veterinary costs. Better early socialization means fewer behavioral issues that might otherwise require professional intervention.
A breeder you can call with questions means better-informed decisions throughout your dog’s life. The upfront price is only one part of the equation.
Our Guarantee Is Worth More Than a Longer One
Our health guarantee is two years and covers genetic defects. It is written in plain language, backed by real people, and honored without dispute when something covered arises. You contact us directly, we have a real conversation, and we work through it together.
We could write a ten-year warranty. What would be the point if the terms made it nearly impossible to use? The value of a guarantee is not in its length. It is in the integrity of the person standing behind it.
We Stand Behind Every Puppy
We stand behind every puppy we place, every time, full stop. When you work with a direct breeder who has raised your puppy from birth, who knows your puppy’s parents personally, and who has years of experience with the breed, you are getting protection that no warranty language can replicate.
Payment and Reserving Your Puppy
We require a deposit to reserve a puppy from a current or upcoming litter. The deposit is applied toward your total purchase price. We accept multiple forms of payment and are happy to discuss the details when you reach out.
Puppies are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. For families who are interested in an upcoming litter, joining the waiting list early ensures you are in the best position to choose when the litter arrives. Reach out to us to get started. We would love to hear from you.

An Investment in Your Family’s Future
When you choose a Havana Luxe Pups puppy, you are making an investment that extends far beyond the initial purchase price. You are investing in years of health, happiness, and companionship. You are investing in a puppy who has been given the best possible start in life and who comes with the ongoing support of people who genuinely care about their wellbeing.
The families who have brought our puppies home over the years consistently tell us that the value they received far exceeded what they paid. That is the standard we hold ourselves to with every puppy we place.
